FROM THE EAST (M62/M60)

From the M62/M60, take the M61 turnoff after J17 (Prestwich). When you merge with the M61/A666 follow signs for the M61 to Preston (you must keep to the left, do not follow for Bolton A666). Exit the M61 at J4 and turn left at the first roundabout then right at the second, which takes you onto the A6. Follow this road to the traffic lights and turn left. Follow this road for approximately two and a half miles to reach Atherton town centre, then follow the signs for Leigh to take the B5215 (Leigh Road). Follow this road for approx half a mile, go through the traffic lights and you will see the Oak Tree Root pub on your right. Turn right here onto Johnson Street.

FROM THE NORTH (M6)

Take the M61 from the M6 after Preston. Exit the M61 at J5 and turn right at the first roundabout then left at the second. Follow this road to the traffic lights and turn right. Follow this road for approximately two and a half miles to reach Atherton town centre, then follow the signs for Leigh to take the B5215 (Leigh Road). Follow this road for approx half a mile, go through the traffic lights and you will see the Oak Tree Root pub on your right. Turn right here onto Johnson Street.

FROM THE SOUTH (M6)

Take J23 off the M6 onto the A580 East Lancs Road. Go straight over at the roundabout and at the fourth set of lights turn left onto the A579 Leigh Bypass (Atherleigh Way). Follow this for approx 3 miles then turn right onto the B5235 (Lovers Lane). Follow this road to the end and turn right at the lights onto the B5215 (Leigh Road). Take the next right by the Oak Tree Root pub to reach Johnson Street.

FROM THE SOUTH EAST (Manchester)

Take the M60 clockwise towards Leeds and exit at J13 (Worsley). Turn left at the roundabout and follow this road to the junction with the A580 East Lancs Road. Turn right here following the Liverpool signs. After approx 3 miles turn right onto the A579 Leigh Bypass (Atherleigh Way). Follow this for approx 3 miles then turn right onto the B5235 (Lovers Lane). Follow this road to the end and turn right at the lights onto the B5215 (Leigh Road). Take the next right by the Oak Tree Root pub to reach Johnson Street.
